In fall 2012, three current or recent participants in NEC's Artist Diploma program in Opera headlined a production of Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice in NEC's Jordan Hall.

Soyoung ParkSoprano Soyoung Park '12 M.M., '14 A.D. entered the program in Fall 2012, and continues her studies with Lorraine Nubar. During the fall semester she sang the role of Cupid in Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice in NEC's Jordan Hall.

At Aspen in 2012, when she reprised her showcase role from NEC's 2011 production of Mozart's The Magic Flute, Park "delivered a relentless, forceful and blazingly sung Queen of the Night," according to MusicWeb's eyewitness. Park has also appeared at NEC in the 2012 Boston premiere of Benjamin Britten's Paul Bunyan.

Jaime KorkosMezzo-soprano Jaime Korkos '11 G.D., '13 A.D., entered the program in Fall 2011. In Fall 2012 she sang the role of Orfeo in Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice in NEC's Jordan Hall.

A student of Luretta Bybee, Korkos sang the role of Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni (in photo) and the title role of La Périchole, as well as the solo part in Mahler's Symphony No. 3, during her previous studies at NEC. Immediately before returning to NEC for the Artist Diploma, she participated in the Gerdine Young Artist Program at Opera Theatre of St. Louis, which allowed her to perform in four operas in a two-month span.

Hae Ji ChangSoprano Hae Ji Chang '12 A.D. entered the program in Fall 2010, jumping into another key Mozart role—Pamina in The Magic Flute (in photo)—and giving her first Jordan Hall recital in the 2010–11 season.

During the 2011–12 season, Chang, who studied with Lorraine Nubar, covered Giannetta from L'elisir d'Amore at New York City Opera in March and Mélisande from Pelléas et Mélisande at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis in June. She was cast as Giulietta in Opera Boston's 2012 production of Bellini's I Capuleti e i Montechhi—a production that unfortunately never took place, due to the closing of Opera Boston at the end of 2011. Chang gave her second Jordan Hall recital in November 2011.

Enrolled in the Domingo-Thornton Young Artist Program at Los Angeles Opera in Fall 2012, Hae Ji Chang returned to NEC to sing the role of Euridice in Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice in NEC's Jordan Hall in October 2012.
