This small ensemble is open by audition to advanced players who are passionate about Baroque music. Throughout the past two years, the Brandenburg Chamber Ensemble has performed Brandenburg Concertos No. 1 through No. 5. Repertoire this year will include the Brandenburg Concerti as well as orchestral works by Bach.
Baroque Ensembles range in size and offer a more intimate study than the larger orchestras. These chamber music size groups allow for one or just a few player(s) per part. This smaller group setting allows students to develop chamber music skills learning to listen to each other.
Rehearsals: Saturdays, 1:00 - 2:00 pm
Absence Requests
Please submit an Absence Request Form to Lisa Husseini, Concert Ensemble Manager. Requests need to be submitted at least two weeks before the date of absence. We urge you to submit requests as soon as you know about them so that there is plenty of time for them to be approved. All absences must be approved by the NEC Prep Office, prior to the absence date.
You may submit it in using one of the following methods:
- Print and hand deliver to the Prep Office at 241 St. Botolph Street, Room SB 120.
