Great artists give free concerts at New England Conservatory—simply because they teach here.
Vocalist Dominique Eade was the first "Third Stream" artist to graduate from NEC's Artist Diploma program. As a member of NEC's jazz and Contemporary Improvisation faculties, she has mentored countless improvising vocalists since the 1980s.
During this year's celebration of the 40th anniversary of Contemporary Improvisation studies at NEC, Eade gives voice to the diversity of this musical movement with a program that ranges widely across centuries and musical genres, from Hildegard von Bingen to Conlon Nancarrow, from Thelonious Monk to Bob Dylan.
Joining Eade on this program are fellow faculty John Lockwood, bass; Brad Shepik, guitar; and NEC alumni Joe Berkovitz '81 and Tim Ray '86 M.M., piano; Allan Chase '81, saxophone.
