Anne Tyson is a versatile collaborative pianist, performing a broad repertoire with both instrumentalists and singers. She is also a dedicated teacher, and joined the NEC Prep faculty in 1989. In addition to maintaining a private piano and coaching studio, she has also taught at Boston Conservatory, Boston University, the South Shore Conservatory, the Community Music Center of Boston, and MOTH. She was music director of Point Counterpoint Chamber Music camp from 2008-2012. She has served as coach and rehearsal pianist with several opera companies, including Kent Opera in Great Britain, Opera Lombardia in Italy, and Boston Lyric Opera and Connecticut Opera in the U.S., and has served as an accompanist at the Académie de Musique Européenne and the Abbaye de Royaumont.
