Massachusetts Youth Wind Ensemble

Open to advanced high school-age (grades 10, 11, 12) woodwind, brass, and percussion players. This is a touring ensemble. In June 2010 they traveled to Germany and Austria for a 10 day concert tour. Sr. MYWE will tour again in June 2012

Friday, 4:15 PM - 6:15 PM (September 14 - November 18) and 4:30 - 7 PM (November 30 - May 20)

Audition Information
MYWE holds auditions each May for the following year. Some fall auditions are available to fill the remaining openings. For more information and to sign up for a fall audition please call (617) 585-1130.
Audition Requirements: Students should prepare two contrasting pieces at the All State level. Additionally students should be prepared to play scales up to 4 flats and 4 sharps plus a chromatic scale. There may be sight-reading at the audition.
Absence Requests
Please submit an Absence Request Form to Ezra Weller, Sr. MYWE Student Manager or Lisa Husseini, Concert Ensemble Manager. Requests need to be submitted at least two weeks before the date of absence. We urge you to submit requests as soon as you know about them so that there is plenty of time for them to be approved. All absences must be approved by the NEC Prep Office, prior to the absence date.
You may submit it in using one of the following methods:
- Print and hand deliver to the Prep Office at 241 St. Botolph Street, Room SB 120.
