Have you ever played Brazilian folk music? Sung in Portuguese? What about traditional samba?

Join the first Ethnic Jam Session workshop this Thursday, February 7th to do all of these things and more! NEC's Ethnic Jam Sessions consists of a series of experiential workshops focused on learning and playing musics from around the world. This series is based on the belief that world music can be played by anybody, regardless of discipline, instrument, or background. The first session will include brief discussion about the social context of Brazilian music, followed by hands-on study of sambas and capoeira songs.
