Explore the many different departments NEC Prep has to offer by choosing from the black toolbar on the left-hand side of the screen. The NEC Preparatory School offers lessons and classes on an à la carte basis. Though classes and ensembles run year long, students can start private lessons at any point in the year. Entrance to classes and ensembles mean may be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact our offices to find out more. Lessons, classes and ensembles are available for students at all levels from beginners to highly advanced.

Auditions for large ensembles (orchestras, choruses, and wind ensembles) take place in May 2013 for the 2013-2014 school year. Auditions for all other programs (private lessons, theory, piano seminars, small ensemble, Jazz, and chamber music) take place in early September. Private lesson placements may be made throughout the year, depending on the availability of teachers.
