Sonny Lalchandani is from San Mateo, CA. He is a sophomore studying sitar with Peter Row in the Contemporary Improvisation department. In his free time he loves reading, checking out new music, watching Futurama and cooking. He also loves travelling and tried to make trips out to India every year.

 

 

 

Paul LuedersPaul Lueders
3rd Floor RA/GA for Wellness

Paul Lueders, from Needham, Masachusetts., will begin his Masters Degree program studying oboe performance with John Ferrillo. This will be Paul's tenth year at NEC, including five years at the Conservatory's Preparatory School program. He is a fourth-year staff member and a passionate promoter of student and residence life.

 

Michael MayoMichael Mayo
4th Floor RA

Michael Mayo is a junior at NEC majoring in jazz voice performance. He's studied with Dominique Eade and Jerry Bergonzi. Besides singing, Michael enjoys learning languages, composing, playing video games, and is always willing to go on adventures. This is his second year on ResLife staff and he's really excited to get to know and go on group adventures with his residents.

 

 

Michelle DoolittleMichelle Doolitte
5th Floor RA

Hailing from the sunny Santa Cruz, California, Michelle Doolittle is entering her second year as a graduate student in vocal performance. She successfully survived her first real winter, and enjoys the beautiful New England seasons. Her favorite hobbies are photography and experimental baking. Michelle received her undergraduate degree in vocal performance from Cal State University, Fullerton, the height of her studies being her role as Adina in L'elisir d'amore, and featured whistle soloist on the stage of the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Asha CarrollAsha Carroll
6th Floor RA

Asha Carroll, is a second-year master’s student at NEC studying vocal performance with Lisa Saffer. A native of Saint Paul, MN, she graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2011. In her spare time, Asha enjoys writing, traveling, and adding to her (ever-expanding) record collection.

 

Elizabeth O'NeilElizabeth O’Neil
7th Floor RA

Elizabeth O’Neil will begin her third year of her oboe performance bachelor degree at the New England Conservatory, studying with John Ferrillo. Originally from Arlington, VA, Elizabeth is an advocate of the arts and community service, she is a recent graduate of From the Top's Center for the Development of Arts Leaders, where she was part of an effort to jump start an El Sistema music program in Somerville, MA. This is Elizabeth’s 2nd year on NEC’s Residence Life Staff and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Caroline ScharrCaroline Scharr
GA for Student Activities

Caroline Scharr is from Cape Cod, Mass. She is 22 years old and recently graduated NEC with a bachelor's degree in oboe performance. Caroline is now working towards her master’s degree at NEC studying from Boston Symphony orchestra's John Ferrillo. In her spare time Caroline likes to practice yoga, figure skate and take her dog, Moose, to the dog park.

 

 

 

Gregory TompkinsGregory Tompkins
GA for Residence Life

Gregory Tompkins, a native of Greenville, S.C., is a second-year master's student studying violin performance with Lucy Chapman and Jennifer Frautschi. He graduated from the Eastman School of Music in 2010 and spent the 2010-2011 season in Chicago, Ill., where he performed with the Chicago Civic Orchestra and taught group classes of five-year-olds after school. He also enjoys hiking, contradancing, and (most of all) chocolate chip cookies.

 

Allesandra CioncoAllesandra Cionco
Director of Residential Life

Allesandra Cionco, originally from California, graduated from NEC with her Master of Music in Vocal Performance in 2010. During her time as a student at NEC she worked as a student assistant in both Admissions and Student Activities. As an undergraduate student at San José State University, Allesandra worked as an RA, the Office Manager of Hoover Hall, and as the assistant to the SJSU Housing Community Relations Coordinator, Kevina Brown. This will be Allesandra’s third year as the Director of the program. Allesandra continues to sing with local company, Boston Opera Collaborative. In her spare time, Allesandra enjoys exploring the Boston area with friends and cooking.
