Recital: Ayano Nakamura '23, Viola

NEC: Pierce Hall | Directions

241 St. Botolph St.
Boston, MA
United States

NEC's students meet one-on-one each week with a faculty artist to perfect their craft. As each one leaves NEC to make their mark in the performance world, they present a full, professional recital that is free and open to the public. It's your first look at the artists of tomorrow.

Ayano Nakamura '23 studies Viola with Mai Motobuchi and Martha Katz and is the recipient of the Donald and Alice Noble Scholarship.

This is an in-person event with a private stream available to the NEC community here:

Thank you to my professors, Mai Motobuchi and Martha Katz,
for inspiring me everyday with your passion, generosity, and artistry.
I have learned so much from both of you,
and I wouldn’t be the musician or person I am today without you.

Thank you to my pianist, Tae Kim,
for your dedication, wonderful musicianship, and always pushing me to improve.
I’m so grateful to have been able to play with you for these past four years.

Thank you for coming to my recital and I hope you enjoy!
