Nathaniel Farny, violinist and violist, is an active performer in many New England area groups, as well as a dedicated educator. His early education included five years in the NEC Preparatory School, and he later returned to NEC for a graduate diploma in violin performance. He performs frequently with the Boston Symphony, Boston Pops, Boston Ballet, Modern Orchestra Project, and Odyssey Opera. Nathaniel is a music faculty member at the Cambridge School of Weston and the Cambridge Public Schools.

Nathaniel holds a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College, a Master of Music in violin performance from Rice University, a Graduate Diploma in violin performance from the New England Conservatory, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Viola Performance from Boston University. His teachers include Kathleen Winkler, Michèle Auclair, Steven Ansell, and Martha Katz.
