Every gift to The NEC Fund has a direct and immediate impact on the future of music at NEC.
Your support of The NEC Fund is far-reaching with impact on faculty salaries, student scholarships, classroom equipment, technology and academic programs. Your contribution enables the most talented musicians from around the world to fulfill their artistic and intellectual potential. Providing exceptional student resources and facilities is crucial to fulfilling this objective, and you can make this possible.
Because gifts to The NEC Fund are spent in the same year they are given, you have the power to support the area at NEC that matters most to you. You can designate your impact in the following areas:
Unrestricted support to The NEC Fund provides immediate support to the area of greatest need on campus.
Your gift will have an immediate impact and provide critical, current-use support this academic year.
Each year, thousands of young musicians apply for admission to NEC from all over the world, and nine out of ten request financial assistance. Your support of student scholarship can contribute to a crucial factor in students’ decision to attend NEC.
NEC is fortunate to employ over 200 internationally renowned musicians (including multiple winners of the Rome Prize, Pulitzer Prize, Grammy Awards, Avery Fisher Prize, and Concert Artist Guild) who foster a supportive space for a student’s personal and artistic growth.
Your gift will ensure that NEC is able to continue to retain and recruit artists from around the world who inspire students to forge connections, embrace risk-taking and innovation, and set new standards of excellence.
Student Experience and Programs
An NEC education takes students beyond the Jordan Hall stage by providing:
- Experiential learning opportunities that share the value of music with underprivileged communities across the Boston area
- Help with innovative and impactful projects to develop critical skills of communicating a vision, creating a production plan, developing a marketing strategy, and balancing budgets
- Masterclasses with visiting artists, including Yo-Yo Ma, Emmanuel Ax and Thomas Adès
- Access to the more than 400,000 books, scores and audio recordings available at the Blumenthal Family Library
Your gift will prepare NEC students to be forward-thinking leaders, groundbreaking entrepreneurs, and musicians with the power to change the world.
