Music History Faculty Sean Gallagher Inducted to Johns Hopkins Society of Scholars

The Johns Hopkins Society of Scholars recognizes former Hopkins affiliates who have made outstanding contributions to their fields. Gallagher is the first musician or music historian to be elected to the Society in its 52-year history.

An internationally recognized authority on music in late medieval and Renaissance Europe, he has published articles on an array of subjects and is the author or editor of five books, ranging in topic from plainchant to Mozart.
