Play Your Part

Play Your Part Trumpet

What is Play Your Part?

Play Your Part is NEC’s Giving Day, offering supporters like you an opportunity to come together and make a lasting impact on Friday, May 21, 2021.

This year, we are celebrating the many ways you enable NEC students and alumni to become leaders of tomorrow.

As we approach Commencement weekend, May 21–23, follow us on social media to be inspired by our past and present NEC students, and learn how you empower their stories

What impact will my gift have?

Our students arrive from all over the world with their shared passion for music. Your gift propels their profound artistry and bold creativity as they evolve into future leaders.

When you play your part...

  • You make it possible for the nine out of 10 students who need financial assistance each year to say “yes” to their dream school.
  • You connect students to world-class faculty who will help unleash their potential.
  • You enrich your community through musical performances and educational programs by NEC students. This year, 49 of our students are connected with local partners, including Boston Public Schools and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Want to learn more? This Giving Day, visit our social media pages to hear directly from NEC alumni on their journeys after graduation, and imagine your role in shaping our students’ paths toward leadership.

How can I play my part?

  1. Give what you can! Every gift makes a difference. You can give now or join us on Giving Day to help us meet our goal!

  1. Help spread the word! Your voice makes NEC Giving Day a success. Post about our Giving Day on your social networks using #PlayYourPartNEC.

I still have questions. How can I get in touch?

We would love to hear from you! You can contact our annual giving officer, Ailish Fitzgerald at
