As a current NEC student, you're welcome to work on campus regardless of your financial aid status. Looking for work? Check out our current openings below.
Please note that jobs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis at the discretion of NEC supervisors. Students are required to be cleared for work authorization before paid work may begin. Authorized student employees are paid for their work by direct deposit on a bi-weekly schedule.
Employment Paperwork and Payroll
If you're a US Citizen or Permanent Resident, you must complete the W-4 and I-9 forms before working on campus. These forms are available in the Human Resources Office. If you're an international student, you must apply for a Social Security Card, complete the I-9 form, and submit tax paperwork in person at the Human Resources Office before working on campus. Naomi Robinson is the student employment contact in the Human Resources Office.
After you complete your paperwork, you'll be added to ADP, NEC’s electronic payroll database. Registration instructions are emailed to students when their accounts are ready for use. All NEC student employees receive payment on a bi-weekly schedule and are required to register for direct deposit. Our comprehensive student employment handbook can be viewed under the “forms” section of the ADP home page.
