World-Renowned Violinist Hilary Hahn Hosts Master Class at NEC
World-renowned violinist and three-time Grammy Award winner Hilary Hahn hosted a master class to a packed house in New England Conservatory's Williams Hall featuring violin students Yirou Ronnie Zhang ’26, David Carreon ’25 MM, and Emma Boyd ’25.
Hahn is a prolific recording artist and commissioner of new works, and her 21 feature recordings have received every critical prize in the international press. A strong advocate for new music, she has championed and commissioned works by a diverse array of contemporary composers.

After his performance, master’s student David Carreon ’25 MM received guidance from Hahn. Carreon studies with Kristopher Tong at NEC.
Emma Boyd ’25 also received coaching from Hahn. Boyd studies with Soovin Kim at NEC.
