New England Conservatory's Department of Public Safety is staffed by contract with Guardian Security & Protection, supplemented by NEC employees. The main security phone line, 617-585-1290, is in operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Security staff are on premises at the four campus buildings as follows:

Jordan Hall building
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round

St. Botolph building
7:00am–11:00pm, 7 days a week, closed December 24–January 2

Residence Hall
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, during the academic year

295 Huntington Avenue
7:00am–8:00pm, Monday–Friday
9:00am–5:00pm, Saturday
closed on Sunday

Other than for the purpose of attending a concert, visitors to all four NEC campus buildings must present an NEC i.d. or sign in at the security post.
