The NEC community mourns the loss of Roger Tapping, a beloved teacher and talented violist who passed away on January 18, 2022 after a battle with cancer.

The two NEC alumni will join soprano Hera Hyesang Park in an exciting program welcoming the Year of the Tiger. 

Currently the Assistant Professor of Viola at the Fred Fox School of Music at the University of Arizona, alumna Dr. Molly Gebrian ‘06 MM, ‘08 GD has a passion for understanding how people learn and experience music. Her background in neuroscience gives her unique insight into how the brain learns and how musicians can best use this information to their advantage in the practice room.

The NEC community is deeply saddened by the passing of John Moriarty ‘52, ‘92 Hon. DM on January 5, 2022 at the age of 91.
