Recital: Liav Kerbel '21 MM, Cello
NEC's students meet one-on-one each week with a faculty artist to perfect their craft. As each one leaves NEC to make their mark in the performance world, they present a full, professional recital that is free and open to the public. It's your first look at the artists of tomorrow.
Liav Kerbel '21 MM studies Cello with Laurence Lesser and is the recipient of a scholarship made possible by the Charles H. Gross Scholarship Fund.

Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for attending my recital today.
I can’t express in words how grateful I am to be able to play for you today.
A few months ago, I would never have imagined that I would be back in Boston,
and much less performing for a live audience for the first time in ages.
Thank you NEC for your flexibility and help during these unsettling times
which made it possible for me to be back here and perform for you today.I would like also to thank my wonderful teacher, Laurence Lesser.
Thank you for always inspiring me, for making me trust my own musical instincts,
for making sure I was always safe and OK during the pandemic
and for being a real mentor during these two years;---my amazing colleagues in our studio who inspire me so much
and always support each other through our musical lives;---Feng & Jung-A, wonderful artists with whom it is such a pleasure to work
and from whom I never stop learning;---and to all my family and friends in Europe who are watching virtually,
thank you for supporting me during this challenging year and for always being by my side.
